Grilled Spinach Alfredo Pizza

"No matter what state you’re in (hungry's a good one), this delish California-style grilled pizza is a winner. Topping it with bacon makes it all the more inspired.

What You Need

cup Alfredo sauce

pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained

tsp. crushed red pepper

lb. refrigerated pizza dough, at room temperature

Tbsp. olive oil

cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

boneless skinless chicken breast (4 oz.), cooked, chopped (about 1 cup)

slices OSCAR MAYER Bacon, cooked, crumbled

Make It

HEAT grill to medium heat.

COOK and stir Alfredo sauce in medium saucepan on medium heat 4 to 5 min. or until heated through. Stir in spinach and crushed pepper. Keep warm.

DIVIDE pizza dough into 4 pieces. Roll each piece into 12-inch round on lightly floured surface. Brush evenly with half the oil. Place, oiled-sides down, on grill grate. Grill 5 min. or until bottoms are golden brown and lightly charred. Brush with remaining oil; turn.

TOP with spinach mixture, cheese, chicken and bacon; cover grill with lid. Grill 5 to 7 min. or until bottoms of crusts are golden brown and cheese is melted.

Look for the pizza dough in 1-lb. balls in the refrigerated section of your supermarket. Or, see if you can purchase it from your local pizzeria. You can also use frozen pizza dough. Thaw it overnight in the refrigerator before using as directed.

I changed it up by broiling the dough instead of grilling, That worked fine. I link that 10oz of spinach is too much, maybe about a hefty half box, but the alfredo sauce was definitely not enough. I use the entire jar. Everyone loved it and I will make it again.

Delicious! I baked this pizza using a bread machine pizza dough recipe. I just followed the baking directions in the dough recipe, and just kept an eye on it while baking. I agree with the crushed red pepper comments - I cut the amount in half and it's still plenty!

Amazing! We loved this so much.. so different but so delicious. Easy on the crushed red pepper because it might be too spicy for little ones!

I am looking to make this recipe but baking the pizza. Ideas on temp and time to use? I was required to give a rating, but I actually haven't made this recipe yet.

Love the recipe but the 1tsp of crushed red pepper was alot, very spicy/hot. But it was good, I think next time I will sub the crushed red pepper for garlic :)

This pizza was awesome! But beware, if you use a thin crust and the grill, keep the grill very low or it will be charred. It also helps to put it on a cookie sheet and watch carefully. Once the ingredients are added on the top, put once again on a sheet with heat on low or it will burn the bottom of your crust. (Learned by doing!) The flavors are wonderful together and I'll definitely make again.
