I took the advice of other users and spiced this up a lot, though. I added chopped green peppers in addition to the onion and I also added Kraft Zesty Italian dressing. I also threw in garlic, ground red pepper, black pepper, oregano, and I increased the amount of oats used. I used jalapeno ketchup instead of regular ketchup, and I also put in a bit of dijon mustard for some extra flavor. It came out so moist and delicious, and even made great sandwiches the next day. My fiance raved about it and told me that this recipe should be a keeper for sure. I'm making it again tonight!

It was very easy to make, very moist and tasty. I did listen to the other comments and modified it. I used 1 lb turkey, 1 cup of Old Fashioned oats, 1/2 cup of chopped onions, 2 tsps. minced garlic, 1/2 tsp each of oregano, salt & pepper, 1/4 cup of Zesty Italian dressing and 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce. After cooking for 30 minutes, I poured 8 ozs of tomoato sauce on top and cooked for 25 minutes more. My youngest son goggled it up. My older son ate his after I melted cheese on top of his piece. My husband and I enjoyed it!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yummy! Yummy! My 3 and 1 year old boys both loved this meatloaf. I followed the suggestions of another reviewer, as described below, but then squirted ketchup onto the loaf when there was about 30 minutes of cooking time remaining. I'll definitely make this again. After reading comments about this recipe being bland, I decided to automatically add 1/8 cup of Kraft Zesty Italian dressing. It was a hit! Husband asked when I was making it again and 4yr old son who is a picky eater ate it too! He didn't even pick out/notice the onion! Will definitely make again, but this time will double up on everything. Oh and instead of using the whole egg, I used two egg whites.

This meatloaf was the closest to my Mom's that I've ever eaten. For a few minutes I forgot mine was made with turkey! The recipe was easy to double, so I have one to freeze. This will be a regular at my house and I may try some of the variations suggested by others.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I read through a lot of the comments and took a couple of suggestions. I read through a lot of the comments and took a couple of suggestions. I substituted pasta sauce for the ketchup, used a cup of oat instead of 1/2 and added about 1/4 of italian dressing. Also I seasoned the meat with thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper. I was a little nervous and was ready to order a backup pizza but it turned out really good, I will make this again.
