What You Need

oz. BAKER'S White Chocolate or BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Baking Chocolate

NABISCO Cookies, such as NUTTER BUTTER Cookies, OREO Cookies, CHIPS AHOY! Cookies and NILLA Wafers

Decorations, such as decorating gels, assorted candies and chewy fruit snack rolls

Make It

MICROWAVE chocolate in small microwavable bowl on HIGH 1-1/2 min., stirring after 45 seconds. Stir until chocolate is completely melted.

COAT cookies with melted chocolate. Place on sheet of wax paper, then decorate as desired (see Tips below).

LET stand until chocolate is set.

Scary Bats

For bats, coat NUTTER BUTTER Cookies with melted semi-sweet chocolate as directed. Place cookies sideways to resemble a bat shape, then use red decorating gel to draw scary fangs and eyes on each bat.

Mummy

For mummies, coat NUTTER BUTTER Cookies with melted white chocolate as directed. Let stand until set. Wrap cut-up fruit rolls around cookies, leaving small area near the top of each cookie unwrapped for the mummy's eyes. Add 2 small red candies for the eyes.

I made the ghosts with a 1/2pck of Nutter Butters. Then, cut the others in 1/2 and made jack-o-lanterns by adding red and yellow food coloring to remaining chocolate. Great for Party favors!

so easy and sooo cute!!! i made the ghosts and the bats! they both turned out fantastic and delicious! i just used the opposite chocolate color for the faces instead of using decorative gel (using a toothpick)! it turned out great!!!

IF YOU ARE PRESSED FOR TIME OR HAVE ALOT OF MORE INVOLVED RECIPES GOING FOR A HALLOWEEN PARTY--THIS IS A QUICK AND EASY ONE TO DO WHILE WAITING FOR OTHER THINGS TO COOK. TASTES YUMMY TOO. YOU CAN ALSO MAKE A GRAVEYARD OUT OF CRUSHED OREOS AND COOKIE TOMBSTONES AND ADD THESE GHOSTS UPRIGHT IN THE "GRAVE DIRT" FOR A CUTE SPOOKY EFFECT. ADD LITTLE CANDY PUMPKINS AS WELL. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

This was a fun way for the kids to help in the kitchen. I dipped the cookies and they decorated them. It was so fun that the daycare let all of the kids make the cookies.

10/04; MADE THESE ESPECIALLY FOR A HALLOWEEN BAKE SALE. THEY WERE A BIG HIT. GRANDSON HELPED MAKE THEM. HE HAD FUN AND ATE A FEW TOO.
