Substitute dried lima bean or dried navy beans for the butter beans. Good news! This recipe doesn't require pre-soaking of the beans, which saves time and some of the pre-planning.
Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in large skillet. Add 2 sliced green onions and 1 clove minced garlic. Cook and stir 2 min. or until tender. Stir in 1 can (16 oz.) rinsed drained butter beans, 1 pkg. (7.5 oz.) OSCAR MAYER CARVING BOARD Slow Cooked Ham, coarsely chopped, 1 can (10 oz.) undrained mild diced tomatoes and green chiles, 2 tsp. tomato paste, 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper and 1/8 tsp. dried thyme leaves; bring to boil. Cover; simmer on low heat 15 min. Makes 4 servings.
For best results, do not cook on HIGH heat setting. The beans will not have time to cook properly on HIGH.
