  • Beat first 5 ingredients in large bowl with mixer fitted with paddle attachment. Gradually add flour, beating on low speed after each addition until mixture forms soft dough, stopping occasionally to scrape bottom and side of bowl.
  • Knead dough on lightly floured surface 5 min. or until no longer sticky. Roll out to 20x12-inch rectangle; cover with ham, bacon, raisins and olives. Roll up lengthwise; place, seam side down, on parchment-covered baking sheet. Cover with sheet of plastic wrap lightly sprayed with cooking spray. Let rise in warm place 1 hour or until doubled in volume.
  • Heat oven to 350ºF. Uncover dough; brush with egg. Bake 30 min. or until golden brown. Transfer to wire rack; cool completely.

Kneading Dough By Hand

If you don't have a mixer, place flour, salt and sugar on a clean work surface. Make well in center of flour mixture; add water, butter and yeast. Use clean hands to blend liquid into dry ingredients until blended. Knead 10 min. or until mixture forms soft dough.

Covering the dough tightly with plastic wrap during the rising step helps to keep the dough moist.
