You might want to add that you need to mash up your potatoe prior to adding the topping. Knowing some of the novice cooks out there as I do, they might take you literally and just lay the mixture on the split potatoe. Mashing it with butter or margarine is recommended it will be less dry. I added salt, pepper and garlic powder to the meat mixture. It turned out really well. Good, quick evening meal when you come home late from work and are too tired to do anything extravagant. Told my co-workers about it. They thought it sounded great.
