  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 2 (8-inch) round layers. Cool 10 min. Remove cakes from pans to wire racks; cool completely.
  • Beat cream cheese and butter in large bowl with mixer until blended. Gradually add sugar, mixing well after each addition. Stir in COOL WHIP.
  • Reserve 1/4 of the cream cheese mixture for later use. Stack cake layers on plate, spreading 3/4 cup of the remaining cream cheese mixture between each layer. Spread top and side of cake with remaining cream cheese mixture.
  • Spread reserved cream cheese mixture evenly onto donut holes. Dip, 1 at a time, into sprinkles. Use to decorate cake as shown in photo.
