While I can't say it is the best coffee cake I've eaten or even a 5 star, it is good. It has a unique crispy texture due to the cream of wheat and is not too sweet. A good recipe if you need to use up some buttermilk as I did.
I was not sure how it was going to turn out with cream of wheat but it was delicious and had a lot of flavor - my husband took it to work and it disappeared quickly.
