HEALTHY LIVING Smokehouse BBQ Cheeseburgers

Tender sautéed onions, BBQ sauce and Italian dressing give these smokehouse cheeseburgers their zesty flavor.

What You Need

lb.  extra-lean ground beef
1
 red onion, cut into 4 slices
1/4
cup  KRAFT Lite Zesty Italian Dressing, divided
1/4
cup  KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
4
 KRAFT 2% Milk Singles
4
 hamburger buns, toasted
4
 lettuce leaves
1
 tomato, cut into 4 slices

Make It

HEAT grill to medium-high heat.

SHAPE meat into 4 patties. Brush onions with 2 Tbsp. dressing.

GRILL patties and onions 5 min. to 6 min. on each side or until patties are done (160°F) and onions are tender, occasionally brushing onions with remaining 2 Tbsp. dressing and burgers with barbecue sauce. Top each burger with 2% Milk Singles; grill 1 min. or until Singles begin to melt.

FILL buns with lettuce, tomatoes, cheeseburgers and onions.

How to Grill Onion Slices
Insert 4 metal or soaked wooden skewers completely through the side of a whole onion at 1/2-inch intervals. Cut onion, between skewers, into 4 thick slices. The skewers will help keep the slices intact while grilling.
How to Toast Buns
Toast the buns on the grill with the burgers.
