Hearty American Cheeseburger

Served in onion rolls, these juicy cheeseburgers are brushed with steak sauce during grilling and topped with grilled onions, tomatoes and a tasty relish.

What You Need

cup CLAUSSEN Sweet Pickle Relish

1/4

cup A.1. Thick & Hearty Steak Sauce, divided

lb. ground beef

onion, cut into 4 slices

KRAFT Singles

lettuce leaves

onion sandwich rolls, partially split

tomato, cut into 4 slices

Make It

HEAT grill to medium-high heat.

MIX relish and 2 Tbsp. steak sauce until well blended. Shape meat into 4 (1/4-inch-thick) patties.

GRILL patties and onions 5 to 7 min. on each side or until burgers are done (160ºF) and onions are crisp-tender, brushing occasionally with remaining steak sauce. Top burgers with Singles; grill 1 min. or until Singles begin to melt.

FILL rolls with lettuce, cheeseburgers, onions, tomatoes and relish mixture.

Serve with a fresh fruit salad and small mixed green salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Dressing.

I made this a bit differently. I mixed the pickles and A1 sauce into the meat mixture and seasoned it with salt and pepper. Delicious!

your cheeseburger recipe is a hit with my friends.they said it was a smashing meal by itself.

It was very good,except for the sweet relish...it kinda stood out in the Burger in a bad way, I fixed the problem by refering to the classic Dill pickle slices, and all was delicious again! The recipe is outstanding in my opinion ,minus the sweet relish. I just don't care for a cheeseburger with a sweet side to it.Others may like it though it just wasn't what my family cared for.

This was the best burger I have ever had!!!! My whole family loved it. I'd make it again many times.
