Make it
  1. Cut out bat patterns.
  2. Trace and cut as many bats as you need.
  3. Tape bats to fishing line and string around the house to create the impression of flight.

Mummies always want kids to have yummy snacks, and this Halloween craft for kids is a great way to provide them.

What you need:
  • Black box or bowl
  • 2 small white vitamin bottle caps or paper circles
  • 2 blue paper circles
  • 2 black buttons
  • Glue
  • 1 roll of gauze bandage
Make it
  1. Glue pieces of eyes together as shown in picture.
  2. Glue eyes to box or bowl.
  3. Wrap "face" with gauze to create Mummy.
  4. Fill with treats.

GHOULS LIGHT THE WAY

Let Halloween decorations light the way with eerie lanterns made from plastic gallon milk cartons.

What you need:
  • Empty plastic gallon milk jugs, washed and dried
  • Small paintbrush
  • Glue
  • Tissue paper
  • Construction paper
  • Markers
  • Sand
  • Tea lights or small flashlights
Make it
  1. Cut the tops off of the milk jugs.
  2. Paint the jug with glue.
  3. Cover the jug with tissue paper, let dry overnight.
  4. Using images here, decorate jugs with markers, extra pieces of paper for ears, etc.
  5. Fill bottom with sand, light with tea lights outside, or flashlights inside.

Kids will love making their very own creation of a Plate Monster. He's the perfect place to stash wrapped treats for later.

What you need:
  • Colorful paper plates
  • Card stock or construction paper
  • Doublestick tape or glue
  • Googley eyes
Make it
  1. Cut 1 paper plate in half with a curve as seen in photo.
  2. Glue or tape the half plate to a whole plate to create monster's head.
  3. Cut four strips of paper and fold accordion style for arms and legs.
  4. Add hands and feet using a different color of paper.
  5. Cut various face parts from other papers and attach to face with tape or glue.
  6. Attach eyes with tape or glue.
