  • Mix mustard and teriyaki sauce in shallow dish until blended. Reserve 1/3 cup mustard mixture for later use.
  • Add chicken to remaining mustard mixture; turn to evenly coat both sides of chicken.
  • Refrigerate 2 hours, turning after 1 hour.
  • Heat grill to medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade; discard marinade. Grill chicken 6 to 8 min. on each side or until done (165ºF), brushing frequently with reserved mustard mixture for the last few minutes.

Keeping it Safe

Use a visual test to ensure boneless chicken breasts are done. Cut small slit in thickest part of each chicken piece. If the meat is totally white with no pink color, it is safe to eat.

Use Your Broiler

Marinate chicken as directed. Heat broiler. Place chicken on rack of broiler pan. Broil, 4 inches from heat, 6 min. on each side or until done (165ºF), brushing frequently with reserved mustard mixture for the last few minutes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really enjoyed this. I really enjoyed this. There was a distinct honey mustard flavor but the teriyaki really added to it. So simple but so tasty! My two toddlers enjoyed the chicken also - I used chicken tenders and served it with a curry quinoa recipe from this same site. I will definately be making this again, great for a busy weeknight.

The vrdict around the table was that the mustard flavor was a little strong. I my increase the teriyaki next time, or maybe a different brand of honey mustard. I will make this again but tweak the recipe a little to better suit my family.
