Everyone was a little skeptical about the cheddar-apple-cream cheese combination, but after the first bite, the whole dish disappeared pretty quickly! I doubled the recipe and omitted the nuts. Quick, easy, yummy, and really does taste like apple pie! (Oh, and I used apple pie spice instead of pumpkin pie spice. I suspect they aren't very different, but it was what I had and it seemed like the logical choice, anyway.) Great Christmas Eve snack. :)

This is so easy to make and so good. I doubled the amount of ***** cheese, sugar and spices but kept the apple measurement the same. It was wonderful, served with graham crackers.

I substituted pumpkin pie filling for the cheddar cheese and added more apple (about a half) and just under 1/2 tsp. of ground red pepper. The hot pepper gave the sweet dip a bit of a kick.
