Hot Crab Dip

Cream cheese, canned crabmeat, Parmesan, green onions, wine, horseradish and hot pepper sauce are blended and baked into a savory hot appetizer dip.

What You Need

pkg. (8 oz. each) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened

cans (6 oz. each) crabmeat, drained, flaked

1/2

cup KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese

1/4

cup sliced green onions

Tbsp. dry white wine

Tbsp. KRAFT Horseradish Sauce

tsp. hot pepper sauce

Make It

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Mix all ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.

SPOON into 9-inch pie plate or quiche dish.

BAKE 25 to 30 min. or until lightly browned. Serve with assorted NABISCO Crackers.

Keeping it Safe

Even canned crabmeat can contain tiny pieces of shell, so use your just washed fingers to pick over the crabmeat before adding to a recipe.

Substitute

Prepare as directed, using PHILADELPHIA Neufchatel Cheese.

Special Extra

Sprinkle with 1/4 cup toasted PLANTERS Slivered Almonds before baking.

This crab dip was very bland. I added lots of seasoning. It helped. Looking for something like they have in restaurants.

The cream cheese kept cooling off too fast and made the dip hard. It was good, but just not as good as it sounded.

I don't care for onions, so I substituted red bell peppers, also mozarella cheese, imitation crabmeat & red wine vinegar. this was a wonderful taste combination & it seemed to only improve the flavor reheating it the next 2 days

It was ok...I made it for a family get together and they either hated it or lvoed it. It didn't have much flavor other than crab.

The recipe requires too much cream cheese. The cream cheese overpowered the entire recipe. Too creamy. Not good at all. May try it again with half the cream cheese, but recipe left a bad taste in my mouth.

This was excellent!! I added a bit more horseradish and hot sauce, it was the hit of the party!!!
