This was really good, but I made a few changes. Here's exactly what I did: 2 oz shredded wheat & bran cereal, 1/4 unsweetened applesauce, omitted the yogurt, 2 Tbsp. raisins (black & golden), 1/2 medium sized banana, 1 tsp. brown sugar, 1/8 tsp. cinnamon, & 1/2 cup fat free milk heated up & then poured over top. It turned out delicious, healthy, filling, & satisfying. :)
This was great! I cut the recipe in half for a snack, and used low carb vanilla yogurt, skim milk, no sugar added applesauce & granola instead of raisins. I also sliced half a banana & put it on top. Next time I'll probably reduce the microwaving time a bit as the cereal was a little mushy for me. Will make again for sure! A nice change from oatmeal.
I fixed this cereal, substituting half of a chopped fresh apple for the applesauce and skim milk for the 1%, excluded the sugar. It was perfect after a busy morning of classes and super simple to assemble in my dorm's kitchen. Accompanying it with a cup of hot cocoa made it the most satisfying meal that I have had in a long time! This is a definite repeat.
