Italian Chicken-Pasta Skillet

Cheesy, hearty one-skillet chicken pasta is no longer the stuff of Italian restaurant lore. We've upped the flavor and made it a better-for-you winner. Buon appetito!

What You Need

lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces

green pepper, chopped

small onion, cut into thin wedges

jar (24 oz.) spaghetti sauce

cups mostaccioli, cooked, drained

pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese, divided

Make It

COOK and stir chicken in large skillet sprayed with cooking spray on medium heat 5 min. Add vegetables; cook 5 min. or until chicken is done and vegetables are crisp-tender.

ADD sauce and pasta; cook 5 min. or until heated through, stirring occasionally.

STIR in 1 cup cheese; top with remaining cheese. Cover; let stand 2 min. or until cheese is melted.

For a spicier flavor, add 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper with the spaghetti sauce.

This was very simple to make & my son had fun helping. We used a mixture of noodles which gave it a fun flare. The only thing we didn't like was the chicken. Next time I'll make it without meat.

Great recipe - specially love the fact you do not need to precook the pasta. I did vary it some. As someone else suggested I seasoned the chicken pieces before browning, and instead of the pepper and onion used half of a 14 oz bag of frozen pepper stir fry combination. I also used Vodka Sauce instead of just regular spaghetti sauce. Nice!!!! Definitely will keep this recipe!!
