  • Cook and stir sausage in large skillet on medium-high heat until sausage is evenly browned and cooked through; drain.
  • Add peppers and onions; cover. Reduce heat to medium; cook 10 min., stirring occasionally. Stir in tomato sauce. Bring to boil.
  • Top sausage mixture with stuffing; sprinkle with cheese. Reduce heat to low; cover. Cook 5 min. or until cheese is melted.

I was hesitant to make this recipe at first because the picture on the website did not look very appetizing but I am very happy that I made it anyway! After I finished making it, it looked nothing like the picture and it tasted delicious! There were lots of flavors throughout this whole dish. I used beef sausage and cornbread stuffing instead of Italian sausage and beef stuffing. I will definitely make this recipe again!

My husband has really been enjoying the recipes I have been making off the internet. It's been a great change from the same old things all the time. Even my 85 year old mother who has always been a meat and potatoes person is enjoying the meals.

My little one dont like the peppers in it so next time I will try it without the peppers. My son kept saying oh mom this is delicious.

Maybe it would be good on a hoagie roll (like an Italian sausage sandwich), but then it would be a "carb overload" with the stuffing too!

Did seem like something else should accompany the meal, yet it was very filling by itself. Better as leftovers I thought.
