Italian-Style Red Pepper Dip

Jarred roasted red peppers make this dip a cinch to prepare. Just blend in a blender with sour cream, fat free cream cheese, garlic and herbs.

What You Need

container (8 oz.) BREAKSTONE'S FREE or KNUDSEN Fat Free Sour Cream

jar (7 oz.) roasted red peppers, drained

oz. (1/2 of 8-oz. pkg.) PHILADELPHIA Fat Free Cream Cheese, softened

clove garlic, peeled

Tbsp. fresh basil leaves

1/2

tsp. dried oregano leaves

WHEAT THINS Reduced Fat Snacks

Make It

PLACE all ingredients except crackers in blender or food processor; blend until peppers are finely chopped and mixture is well blended. Spoon into serving bowl; cover.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until chilled.

SERVE as a dip with the crackers.

Very good, but makes a TON. I would suggest cutting in half next time.

While my guests said this was "good" - it didn't fly off the table like other appetizers I've made. Although - one of my guests did ask for the recipe. I think it all depends on your company and who likes roasted red peppers...it has a very strong flavor.

I made this for a family party and everyone loved it. They could not get enough of it. Be careful not to over blend.

another great recipe, but... a little runny, make sure to squeeze out the peppers. The 2nd time i made this, i used more pepper to make sure it wasn't so runny. (and the longer it's refrigerated the thicker it'll get)

This is really easy and tasty. I served it with crackers and fresh veggies. Great change from the typical vegetable dips.

A girfriend of mine made this for a luncheon & I HAD to have the recipe. Sad to say, I haven't had the opportunity to make it, but I've been able to request my girlfriend to make it instead. This is a FABULOUS recipe, even my 7-year old loves it!
