  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Prepare Dinners in large saucepan as directed on package. Meanwhile, heat oil in medium skillet on medium heat. Add ham, onions, peppers and garlic; cook 5 min., stirring frequently.
  • Add ham mixture to Dinners with eggs and chopped cheese; mix lightly. Mix cracker crumbs and parsley; stir half into Dinner mixture. Spoon into 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray; top with remaining crumb mixture.
  • Bake 35 min. or until center is set and casserole is heated through.

Substitute a serrano chile or canned chipotle pepper in adobo sauce for the jalapeño pepper.

Jalapeño Macaroni & Ham Ring

Substitute a 12-cup fluted tube pan for the casserole dish. Spoon prepared Dinner mixture into prepared pan. Do not add remaining crumb topping. Bake as directed. Let stand 10 min. Unmold onto plate; sprinkle with crumb topping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AWESOME! AWESOME!!!!! Even though KRAFT macaroni & cheese is one of my favorite foods I never dreamed that this recipe would taste so good! The flavors mixed well together. I added mushrooms to mine because I needed to get rid of them & I think it enhanced the flavor even more. The only thing I would changed is maybe thicker sliced ham or more slices of the Oscar Mayer, it just didn't seem to have enough ham flavor for me. Otherwise, great recipe!

I did alter a bit from the recipe -- used 1 10oz box velveeta shells & cheese, shredded cheese, fresh ham, 3 eggs & bread crumbs vs crackers. It was quite dry and not cheesy OR creamy. Its definitely a baked casserole! I would not make again...

I used a ham steak instead of deli ham since that's what we had in the house (and I would suggest using the ham steak from now on!). We also like our food nice a spicy(!!), so next time I will add some more jalapenos or something else to spice it up! Overall, great dish!

I made a few substitutions - because I haven't been to the store, but it still turned out good. I only used 3 eggs, I added 3 eggs instead of 4, I sauteed onions and used ham chunks - everything else was the same. I will make this again.
