Rated 5 out of 5 by from My husband and I visited Jamaica a few Summers ago. My husband and I visited Jamaica a few Summers ago. Jerk Chicken is one of their traditional dishes.I had never eatten Jerk Chicken. In Jamaica, I ate Jerk Chicken everyday and loved it! Since we came home I haven't been able to find anything close to what I ate over there until now. I followed the receipe with one exception I used black pepper instead of red pepper. This chicken is great! If you are looking for an entree to go with fresh fruits and vegetables I recommend you try it! Enjoy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great marinade! Some reviews say this is not authentic Jerk chicken. Well then, go find one that has the ingredients you are looking for. I made this for a large group of middle school students at church and they loved it. All of us who cooked the meal loved it too, and made it for our families the next night. It is simple and delicious. I cook a lot and love good, flavorful food. I thought this was a good recipe and I am getting ready to make it for a group of 200.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent! Excellent!!! My family loved this recipe and it was so easy to make. I didn't add the ground red pepper because of stomach sensitivity but it was still Delicious! My family insists that I use the marinade on all the meats I cook now. I'm not sharing this one with my parents, they will use it to out cook me at the family gatherings! Thanks so much for submitting it & sharing it with all of us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT ! EXCELLENT !!! My WHOLE family LOVES this recipe !! I go alittle easier on the red pepper though, and add alittle more brown sugar ( it carmelizes the chicken alittle more on the grill :) Mmm, this recipe ROCKS !! It's GREAT paired with corn on the cob ( soaked in sugar water for 15-20 mins ) and herb rice !!! Yummy Yummy Yummy !! DEFINATELY try this recipe !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I broiled this instead of using the grill. I broiled this instead of using the grill. I turned out juicy, moist and flavorful. I didn't have a broiler pan so I just used a flat sheet with foil and made sure the foil didn't catch fire. I used tenderloins intead of whole breasts and turned them over about after 8 min or so and cooked the other side. Will make again.

I changed the recipe slightly- I bought Good Seasonings Caribbean Jerk Seasoning and made a marinade of it. Take 3 heaping Tbsps. of seasoning with 4 Tbsps. soy sauce and 6 Tbsps. cooking oil. Put the chicken in the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 min. Broil as per the instructions here. This was SOOO good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious and healthy! Delicious and healthy! I used two enormous free range chicken breasts. I substituted lite italian salad dressing (liquid) for the mix. I also used apple cider vinegar instead of oil. I baked my chicken as well - 350 for an hour and 15 mins. (But judge cooking time based on your chicken)
