I used the 1/3 less fat cream cheese and the Lite Cool Whip. I wasn't crazy about the taste/texture of the cream cheese and I think that 16 ozs. is too much. The cake is very sweet (I did not add the fruit) and the boys did not like the cream cheese in the middle. I think next time I will reduce the cream cheese to 8 ozs of regular and use more cool whip. Also, when I added my red jello to the top of the cream cheese it blended with the cream cheese center to make it pink. I will definitely let the red jello sit longer than 5 minutes or put it in the fridge for 10 minutes or so. Overall, a very nice cake.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't follow all the instructions Per instructions, you're to wait 20 minutes after putting the blue jello in the fridge and then put the blended whip topping/sugar/cream cheese on top of an un-firmed jello. This doesn't work, and now I've got a blended mixture sinking into the jello itself. I can't spread the mixture due to sinking. Terrible! I called my dad who used to own a restaurant, and he confirmed instead that the blue jello should set completely. I'm extremely frustrated because I can make more complicated recipes (e.g. Asian dishes) but my first time making jello is a failure. I should've known better though. Why does one layer of jello take twenty minutes to set but the other layer takes three hours? That's a huge difference for the same product. Although the taste hasn't been compromised, I'm very disappointed in this recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Please see my uploaded photo. Please see my uploaded photo. I brought this to my family picnic last Sunday and everyone just loved it - especially the men! It was perfect on a hot day! The only negative is that everyone said it was too pretty to cut! I will definitely bring it again next year!

I love this recipe, I've taken this in several times for a potluck @ my job and everyone there loves it, I always bring home an empty pan. The other day we had a Italian theme so instead of making the recipe with blueberries I used green jello and kiwi, coconut flakes for the middle of the flag strawberries for the right side of the flag and kiwi for the left side. Green, white and red Italian flag, instead of using strawberry jello or blueberry I just changed the Jello to green Melon, I came home with an empty pan. I love this recipe it versatile and easy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a no fail recipe for an extremely creamy, fruity, tasty summer treat. This is a no fail recipe for an extremely creamy, fruity, tasty summer treat. I too made it for the 4th of July, but since have made it using the same fruits just not the flag pattern. EVERYONE OOOOOOOOOOOWWW`ed and ahhhhhhhh`ed not just at the colorful presentation, but at the blend of flavors. I have used low fat and no fat ingredients both times with the same results. This is a easy recipe for anyone, and a winner for everyone!

I used the regular Cream Cheese, because low-fat or less fat Cream Cheese always has a different taste. I actually bought a 12oz tub of regular Cool Whip and used half, which made the cream taste better. The jello's are sugar free and yes, wait longer than 5 mins on the red. It needs to be slighty thickened so you can scoop it out, but still spread. Can't wait to eat it tomorrow.
