Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Reserve 1/4 cup each pasta sauce and cheese. Mix remaining ingredients just until blended.
  • Shape meat mixture into loaf in 12x8-inch baking dish; top with remaining pasta sauce and cheese.
  • Bake 40 to 45 min. or until done (160°F).

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a steamed green vegetable and small baked sweet potato.

Keeping it Safe

After shaping a meatloaf with your hands, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly with soap and hot water. A quick rinse under the faucet is not enough to kill the bacteria from the raw meat.

Special Extra

Prepare meatloaf as directed; cool, then slice. Wrap individual portions in foil. Label, date and place in freezer-weight resealable plastic bags. When ready to serve, unwrap and microwave until heated through (160°F).

My husband made this for me and my kids while I was at work since he was home for a few days from military leave. It tasted great! My husband has to PT 3 days a week and wants to eat healthier which I know meatloaf isn't a very healthy choice. The bread crumbs seem like too much of a filler and my husband mentioned that he used more than twice the sauce it called for because it didn't look like it had enough. He also added the same amount of green pepper as it calls for onion. We liked it a lot but I will try some other meatloaf recipes on Kraftfoods that may be somewhat on the healthier side. I've been searching for the right meatloaf recipe and hope to find it here. Other than that this was very good!

I've tried three or four other meatloaf recipes looking for a winner and I finally found it with this one (with a few minor tweaks). It was easy to make and tasted delicious. I substituted frozen onions and added frozen peppers to the recipe. I used a combination of Italian and Plain bread crumbs and skipped the italian seasoning. I also added Ketchup to the top layer of the loaf. Very yummy! My husband and I fought over the leftovers and I can't wait to make it again.

I accidentally used a 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce in the meat and it still turned out so good, moist and delicious! I used very lean ground beef, so it was probably a good thing to add extra sauce. I used Saltines instead of bread crumbs and we put ketchup on it when served. Next time I will add less parmesan cheese, since it was a little bit bitter for my taste buds. It's one of our new comfort foods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delicious! Delicious! I was a little nervous making this, as it was my first meatloaf and I was using ground turkey rather than beef but it was REALLY good! My husband kept trying to get me to postpone cooking the meal as he's not usually a fan of meatloaf but he loved it too! Very moist and the flavors went well together! Can't wait to make this one again!

Only thing different I did was add a little chopped green bell pepper and used shredded parmesan instead of grated. My husband LOVED this and my son liked it even though he hates meatloaf. It took an hour at 375 to cook through. Next time I will add salt and pepper... there will definitely be a next time.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok this was the FIRST TIME EVER I made meat loaf. Ok this was the FIRST TIME EVER I made meat loaf. It was a good recipie and my boyfriend went back for seconds. I did not have italian seasoning but did have italian bread crumbs. It came out good. I added a little water to the pan because I was afraid that it would come out dry. It was very moist.

Added garlic, green peppers, and a dash of oregano to the meat mixture. I will experiment with cooking temps next time. It took longer to cook than stated... my loaf was slightly big! :)
