Here's a beef burgundy even the busiest chef can enjoy, thanks to a swift 15-minute prep time and 8 untended hours in the slow cooker.

What You Need

lb.  beef stew meat
1/4
cup  flour
1
lb.  baby carrots
1
lb.  sliced fresh mushrooms
3/4
cup  dry red wine
1
 bay leaf
1
pkg.   (16.6 oz.) KRAFT RECIPE MAKERS New England Pot Roast
1-1/2
cups   long-grain white rice, uncooked

Tbsp.   chopped fresh parsley

Make It

TOSS meat with flour; place in slow cooker.

ADD carrots, mushrooms, wine, bay leaf and Simmer Sauce; cover.

COOK on LOW 8 to 10 hours (or on HIGH 4 to 6 hours).

15 Minutes Before Serving

COOK rice as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, add Finishing Sauce to slow cooker; mix well.

DISCARD bay leaf. Serve meat mixture over rice; sprinkle with parsley.

Substitute
Omit rice; serve over hot cooked noodles.
Special Extra
Add cut-up celery to the slow cooker with the other vegetables.
