Rated 5 out of 5 by from Each ingredient in this zesty slaw creates a harmony of flavor. Each ingredient in this zesty slaw creates a harmony of flavor. It has the perfect amount of spice from the peppers and hot sauce. I suggest that you don't over do it on the heat; follow the recipe. Otherwise, you're going to lose the tang from the lime and the saltiness from the bacon while your tongue is in flames. After making, put it in the fridge for a few hours so the flavors can "mingle." This is the perfect dish a summer get-together like Independence Day. You won't be disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe several times. I have made this recipe several times. I toned it down a bit with only one serrano pepper and 3 dashes of hot sauce so my 5 year old twins would not be overwhelmed. It was mildly spicy -- they love it and the rest of the family loved it when I made it for a cookout. For a time saver, I used a 16 ounce package of cole slaw mix which worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this spicy slaw. I love this spicy slaw. I've made it for several classes that i teach (weight management classes) and everyone loved it! I used a reduced fat mayo, though. Cooking the corn made all the difference in the world, I added the peppers in at the end with the corn so it wouldn't be too spicy for those weak people - Excellent recipe!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have had this recipe in my recipe box for years and I finally got to make it. I have had this recipe in my recipe box for years and I finally got to make it. The dressing was so good but even with the peppers (I didn't deseed them) it wasn't that spicy. My only problem with it was the bacon, I thought it overpowered all the other flavors so I wouldn't add it again, that's why I just gave it 3 stars.

The flavors are interesting and very complementary of each other. Will make this again.

Definately will make again with some changes, adding 1/2 cup more cabbage, 1/8 cup red onion in addition to the green onion, and some black or red pepper. I used Kraft Mayo but will try it with Kraft Low Fat Mayo. Another winner from Kraft Kitchens.

I am not a big fan of slaw and therefore did not intend to even eat it. However, I tried it and was amazed. It was just delicious. My family loved it and it was incredibly easy to make.

I plan on making this recipe and for the corn substitute black beans which will provide more protein. Adding this extra protein from the beans and using pre-cut packaged slaw mix would make this a really quick summer meal.
