Layered Pudding & Fruit Dessert

Vanilla with Ginger Snaps was a huge success at a Bridal Shower. Very easy to make . Everyone loved it & wanted the recipe.There were no leftovers.

Take 3 cups cold milk, 1 tub (8 oz.) thawed COOL WHIP Whipped Topping and mix & match your recipe from these options...

JELL-O Instant Pudding & Pie Filling options	cookie choices	fruit possibilities
Vanilla	30 NABISCO Ginger Snaps	2 cans (11 oz. each) mandarin orange segments, drained, topped with 2 Tbsp. orange marmalade, warmed
Chocolate	30 OREO Chocolate Sandwich Cookies	1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
Banana Cream	30 LORNA DOONE Shortbread Cookies	2 sliced bananas drizzled with 2 Tbsp. KRAFT Caramel Topping
Vanilla	40 NILLA Wafers	1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling sprinkled with 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon

Then follow our 3 simple steps:

PREPARE 2 pkg. (4-serving size each) JELL-O Instant Pudding with the milk as directed on package for pudding. Gently stir in whipped topping.

ARRANGE half of the cookies in bottom of 2-1/2-qt. glass serving bowl. Spoon half of the pudding mixture over cookies. Layer with remaining cookies and pudding mixture. Top with fruit.

REFRIGERATE 1 hour or until ready to serve. Store leftover dessert in refrigerator.

Variation

For individual desserts, layer ingredients in 15 wine glasses, parfait glasses or ice cream dishes instead of the serving bowl.

Was very good! I made the Chocolate with oreos and cherries. Did not think the cherries would be that good on it, but I was wrong. The only negative I found was the cherries get soggy with the next day.

This will definitely be a make-again recipe at our house. It is very easy to make, easy to clean up after, and everybody loved it! This recipes makes a HUGE bowlful. It is very very very sweet...my kids could only eat about half a bowlful at a time before they were full but they kept coming back for more. And my husband...well, lets just say...an awful lot of pudding disappeared that first night.

Though I did not make this recipe, the combinations sound good. The Banana Cream pudding and the Vanilla-Nilla Wafer pudding sound delicious.
