  • Add boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to cold water to measure 1-1/2 cups. Add to gelatin; stir until ice is completely melted.
  • Place oranges in 6-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray; cover with 2 cups gelatin. Refrigerate 45 min. or until gelatin is set but not firm.
  • Meanwhile, refrigerate remaining gelatin 45 min. or until slightly thickened. Whisk in 2 cups COOL WHIP until well blended. Pour over gelatin layer in mold.
  • Refrigerate 4 hours or until firm. Unmold. Serve topped with remaining COOL WHIP.

How To Unmold Gelatin

Dip mold in warm water for about 15 sec. Gently pull gelatin from around edges with moist fingers. Place moistened serving plate on top of mold. Invert mold and plate; holding mold and plate together, shake slightly to loosen. Gently remove mold and center gelatin on plate.

Substitute

Prepare using 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) gelatin.

My grandmother used to make this jello mold. I decided to make one tonight for my cousin's baby shower tomorow, and i couldn't get intouch with my mom about how Nana used to make it. The recepie game me the info I needed, and the Jello mold looks gereat. It'll be a big hit at the shower i'm sure.

My family really enjoyed this recipe. I have also made it with Strawberries and Strawberry jello. No one knows it is low fat!
