What You Need

1-1/2

cups boiling water

pkg. (0.6 oz.) JELL-O Orange Flavor Sugar Free Gelatin

Ice cubes

cup cold water

can (11 oz.) mandarin oranges, drained

tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP FREE Whipped Topping, thawed, divided

Make It

ADD boiling water to gelatin mix in large bowl; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. Add enough ice to cold water to measure 1-1/2 cups. Add to gelatin; stir until ice is completely melted.

PLACE oranges in 6-cup mold sprayed with cooking spray; cover with 2 cups gelatin. Refrigerate 45 min. or until gelatin is set but not firm.

MEANWHILE, refrigerate remaining gelatin 45 min. or until slightly thickened. Whisk in 2 cups COOL WHIP until well blended. Pour over gelatin layer in mold.

REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm. Unmold. Serve topped with remaining COOL WHIP.

How To Unmold Gelatin

Dip mold in warm water for about 15 sec. Gently pull gelatin from around edges with moist fingers. Place moistened serving plate on top of mold. Invert mold and plate; holding mold and plate together, shake slightly to loosen. Gently remove mold and center gelatin on plate.

Substitute

Prepare using 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) gelatin.

My family really enjoyed this recipe. I have also made it with Strawberries and Strawberry jello. No one knows it is low fat!

I've made this a couple of times and I think it is great! It doesn't hurt that it tastes like a dreamcycle with oranges to me!

I have shared this recipe with many and all have enjoyed. It is a nice to serve as salad or can be a light dessert. Expecially good when you have a strong seasoned meat entree. The younger diners seem to also enjoy this.

This is a Awesome way to eat an old favorite.My husband and children just loved it and I have to make one about two times a week.I have made several different versions and they all go over GREAT!!! I highly recommend this one :-)

Since I love anything with oranges I had to give this a try. It was so delicious and easy to make. Everyone loved it. I tried it with strawberry jello and fruit the next time and was very pleased but you can't beat the taste of the mandarin orange. Excellent light receipe and a great company dessert.

the recipe was very easy to make. it looked really great. The flavor of all ingredients blended well together. i will definitely make it again.
