Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made these for my brother's birthday party and they were a HUGE hit! I made these for my brother's birthday party and they were a HUGE hit! My husband said they tasted like eclairs and everyone else agreed. I did make them with skim milk, light cool whip, and sugar free pudding. No one suspected they were "light" but when I told my soon-to-be sister-in-law, my uncle overheard and went back for thirds without guilt. Now they are requested as much as the birthday dessert! I made them with vanilla pudding and chocolate too, both were equally delicious. I also use hot fudge ice cream topping for the chocolate on top. It is very easy to put a little in a baggie and snip off the corner to make the lines on top. This one is definitely a keeper!

I keep a package of puff pastry sheets and shells in my freezer all the time for last minute desserts or even a quick Sunday night supper. This recipe offers so many variations only limited by your own imagination. Sure beats making pate choux and piping it out. All the work is done for you. But a quick tip for first timers. Do not twist the cutter when making the circles. It forces the edges of the layers together thus preventing the puff pastry from rising to its fullest. Make sure your cutter edge is sharp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I used the white chocolate pudding mix. I used the white chocolate pudding mix. I couldn't find strawberry cool whip so I used extra creamy & about 1/3 cup strawberry jelly for the flavor and some red gel food coloring to get a pink color. I doubled the recipe for a teacher luncheon at my son's school, so I used the whole 8 oz cool whip to get the "cream" mixture to a smoother creamier consistancy that I thought it needed to be. Otherwise it was very stiff with just the 1/2 cup per pudding mix package. I did have some cream filling left over. Also I used a small heart shaped cutter and they where a huge hit!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from There's no question about me making this again ~ I'll probably get disowned if I don't! There's no question about me making this again ~ I'll probably get disowned if I don't! I've made these three times now, with the request for today for Father's Day. This time made the regular vanilla kind with the drizzled chocolate on top (it looks SO fancy, and is SO easy!) as well as with the chocolate pudding mix, and added mini semi-sweet chocolate chips, and sifted 10X sugar on those- I made 18 of each, and NONE came home with us!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You know, these were so yummy, but they didn't exactly turn out like they were supposed to. You know, these were so yummy, but they didn't exactly turn out like they were supposed to. I don't know if it was a problem with the puff pastry, but only three of the rounds puffed in the oven, and the rest were pathetically flat. They were kind of a pain to cut in half - especially the ones that didn't rise - so putting them together wasn't so simple. But they tasted divine, and I got compliments on them despite their presentation. Interested in trying some different flavor variations; relatively easy and versatile.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from These are so easy to make and are great for get togethers! These are so easy to make and are great for get togethers! Just prepare, put in a throw away aluminum tin with clear lid and wrap with decorative ribbon tied in a bow and they are ready to go.. I have used the white chocolate and cheesecake flavored pudding, both are great. Also I use a smaller round cutter so the tasty puffs are bite-sized & everyone comes back for more!!!
