I had started making this recipe last Christmas because I wanted to try something different. I was going to bring it over to a friend's house earlier this year so that she could try it. Unfortunately, the dinner date she planned was canceled. I made it for a retirement party for a co-worker and everybody ate it. They loved it. I made it for the co-worker's summer dinner date in July and she and some other co-workers thought it was delicious. I sent the recipe to another friend up in Northern Virginia and she loved it. They ate it for the next week. Thanks, Kraft!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is awesome! This is awesome! I did modify by adding a ricotta mixture of 1lb. ricotta, 1 egg, salt, pepper, & parsley. Add that layer on top of pasta, then sauce, meat, cheese, etc. repeat. I also used Classico sausage & green pepper jar sauce which gave it a great flavor! And I did use more cheese than suggested & more sauce. 2 boxes of mac & cheese. (the new multigrain kind) I also baked it for 30 min ...just so the egg could set and the cheese would brown. I have made this twice already and my family LOVES it! Give it a try! :o)

My fiance was a bit concerned when he heard the ingredients for this recipe but I told him the reviews said this was good. We both loved this and he is a very picky eater. I added chopped fresh onion and a little garlic while browning the hamburger. In addition, I added dry italian seasoning with the hamburger. It all added great flavor. I also used more sauce. I think if I went with 1-1 1/4 cups it would have come out dry. this is an excellent recipe with great flavor that he wants made much more. very easy too!

My husband thought this was amazing and ate 2/3 of the casserole himself; however, my kids (who love mac n cheese) would not eat this!! My 7-yr old was turned off by the melted cheese on top (although she loves cheese), and my youngest (3 yrs) just kind of hated the whole thing. I thought it was pretty good, so I'll probably make it again for just the grown-ups! :) Actually, I may try this again with the kids, but only add the top layer of cheese within the last 5-7 minutes of cooking time.

When I brought this up to my son, who could live on mac & cheese, he kind of turned his nose. My husband completely turned his nose! My son helped me make it (he is 7) and it was super easy! The more we were prepping the dish, the hungerier my son got! When I served dinner, everyone chowed down so much, I did not get seconds! My son and I are actually going to make it again tonight and this time when my husband asked what was for dinner he was excited to come home and eat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from With each bite I heard "wow, this is good". With each bite I heard "wow, this is good". I did modify it a little. I added some chopped green pepper and onion along with about a tsp. of Italian seasoning to the ground beef. I used Brilla spicy marinara. I also cooked the Mac & Cheese a little less than what was called for. It looked like there wasn't going to be enough Mac & Cheese when I was putting it together but the balance of the ingredients was perfect. This will be a new favorite dish in my house.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I made this recipe but with a twist. I made this recipe but with a twist. (which is probably why it tasted nasty to me) I used cheddar cheese instead of mozzarella. And I also doubled the recipe because my family is large. But for me it tasted like macaroni mixed with ketchup. I was disappointed. However, my kids did eat it, along with my husband who "overdosed" on mac-n-cheese as a kid. I will try the recipe again, but as it is written instead. I think traditional lasagna is easier than this was.

I didn't have any of the macaroni and cheese dinners so I fixed my own macaroni and cheese (which is so much better). I also added garlic and onions to my meat which makes the meat taste really good. I had spaghetti sauce that had mushrooms in it so we really had a great mixure. This was really good tasting but it makes so much - make sure that you have plenty of people around to eat! It truly was a big hit and very easy to fix. I will fix this again.
