  • Bring water and milk to boil in large saucepan.
  • Stir in Macaroni and vegetable blend. Return to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 12 to 14 min. or until macaroni is tender.
  • Add VELVEETA and Cheese Sauce from pouch; cook until VELVEETA is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring constantly.

Serving Suggestion

Serve with a quick bagged salad tossed with your favorite KRAFT Light Dressing.

Special Extra

Season with hot pepper sauce to taste.

Substitute

Substitute 1 pkg. (8 oz.) KRAFT Cheddar CLASSIC MELTS Cheddar & American for the VELVEETA.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exceptionally good. Exceptionally good. I doubled the recipe and used a green pea and carrot veggie blend. I also added pepper and garlic powder. I was going to add ham. However, my hubby wanted to try the original recipe first. It would be excellent as well with the addition of chopped ham, bacon, ground hot or s p i c ey sausage or chopped smoked sausage.

I cheated a little & used a frozen 24 oz bag of broccoli, carrots, cauliflower & cheese sauce instead of the mixed vegetables & velveeta cheese (which is too thick for me) & I'm so glad I did. My husband loves spices so he added lots to his own bowl but I thought it was perfect as is.

It didn come out as soupy as i thought it would but with the extra cheese it was excellent. Also i cant eat mac and cheese with out vegetables anymore. This was very good and highly recommened. Also very easy.

I have small children who love mac and cheese and this gives them their vegetables also. I made this for a Lenten Soup Supper at church and it disappeared quicker than any other soup. I should have made a triple batch of it!

I live with some very picky guys and when I mentioned that I would be trying a Mac and cheese soup I got some very weird looks... But they all loved it... Even went back for seconds and thirds... Next time we are thinking of adding some ground beef to the recipe...

Also big hit with the kids. We just used a regular box of mac & cheese & added additional pasta noodles, with a little extra velveeta.
