  • Melt butter in large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows; cook until melted, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients; spread into greased 8-inch square pan.
  • Refrigerate 1 hour or until firm. Cut into 12 bars. Store in airtight container at room temperature.

Substitute your favorite dried fruit for the raisins.

    I subsituted a mixture of almonds and walnuts for the peanuts. Because I don't like them, I also replaced the raisins with Baker's chocolate squares. I didn't like my version very much, despite altering the recipe to meet my exact wants. I don't think it would come out much better even if I had followed the exact recipe. i thought it was too chewy and tasteless. Based on the success of my version, I don't think I would reccomend this.

    I use cool temp's, too not go dream or cool whip is wrong, cool this best ways, it is great either cool, warm or HOT< makes the dessert of a lifetimel
