Ratings & Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Did I do something wrong? Did I do something wrong?! After reading all the positive reviews I knew that my sweet potato casserole would be a hit at the Thanksgiving potluck. Instead, when I made it the ingredients clumped together in the pan even after cooking and stirring for a very long time. I thought maybe they would at least mix in with the sweet potatoes in the mixer but they remained sticky and clumped in pieces. I had to fish them them out and ended up improvising. I still used the marshmellows on the top though and I think that went over big.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this recipe for Thanksgiving, and not only was it EASY, but everyone loved it! I made this recipe for Thanksgiving, and not only was it EASY, but everyone loved it! (I made the recipe slightly different) by adding brown sugar, and increasing butter, cinnamon, salt & marshmallows. After it was all mixed in with the sweet potatoes, I put them in a casserole dish. I then made another batch of the butter, cinnamon, salt & marshmallows, and poured it all over the sweet potatoes. After about 10 minutes, it stiffened on top of the sweet potatoes. I then baked it in the oven as the recipe called. Before taking it out, I added more marshmallows to the top, and let them puff up a little bit. EVERYONE loved this...even people who didn't like sweet potatoes before hand. They said this tasted more like a dessert. YUM! Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the Sweet Potato dish you have been looking for! This is the Sweet Potato dish you have been looking for! I wanted to find a sweet potato bake that had marshmallows on the top and I searched my cookbooks and foodtv.com. I should have known that kraftfoods.com would have it and that it would be fantastic. I made this over Thanksgiving and we used the big marshmallows like the recipe suggests. Wow, we are never going to use the mini ones again. The big one made this thick, gooey layer of marshmallow over the dish. The sweet potatoes tasted fantastic and I was complimented by the sweet potato lovers (like myself). While I was making it, I thought it wouldn't be enough for the six people I needed to feed. But when it was served, there was plenty and it lived up to its eight serving recommendation. Try it! You won't regret it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this recipe last year for Thanksgiving and everyone was really crazy about it. I made this recipe last year for Thanksgiving and everyone was really crazy about it. Most of the people I had for dinner didn't like sweet potatoes, but after they tasted this recipe they were amazed that it tasted so good! I made it again Christmas with the same result. This year they want me to make what they call "my wonderful sweet potato recipe". Naturally, I will oblige

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Though the large marshmellows look great, they weren't practical when actually eating this dish. Though the large marshmellows look great, they weren't practical when actually eating this dish. It was very difficult get fork into for regular-sized bites. The fork-fulls ended up being far too large, and nobody at our Thanksgiving table liked that. Would recommend using the traditional small marshmellows. Otherwise, good recipe. Flavor is rather like pumpkin pie.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just made this sweet potato bake for a family gathering and they were a big hit. Just made this sweet potato bake for a family gathering and they were a big hit. It was my first attempt at making a sweet potato casserole and it was fast, easy and delicious. Will make again next year, but will reduce the amount of salt. It was a little salty to me no one else thought so it could have been the margarine. Thanks again Kraft for another great recipe.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic, easy recipe. Fantastic, easy recipe. Used it for Thanksgiving Dinner and would make again. I thought the Sweet Potato base was a little too sweet (since I like sweet potatoes by themselves) but everyone else thought it was great, so next time I may cut the six marshmellows to three or four. Otherwise, great recipe!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to substitute mini marshmallows and remembered 4 minis make 1 big one. Had to substitute mini marshmallows and remembered 4 minis make 1 big one. I've never made this traditional T-day dish before despite the family's request because I thought it would be too sweet. I was pleasantly surprised that it was just right and balanced well with everything else.
