  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Line 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Spray with cooking spray.
  • Combine flour and baking powder. Mix sugar and butter in large bowl until blended. Stir in eggs, then extract. Add flour mixture; mix well. Stir in nuts. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Bake 20 to 25 min. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.)
  • Use foil handles to remove dessert from pan before cutting into squares.

How to Chop Nuts

Using a chef's knife and holding the tip end down on the cutting board, cut back and forth across the nuts until they are chopped to the desired size.
