What You Need

1/3

cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup

Tbsp. butter or margarine

can (40 oz.) sweet potatoes, drained

1/3

cup chopped PLANTERS Pecans

Make It

BRING syrup and butter to boil in medium saucepan on medium heat; simmer on low heat 2 min.

ADD sweet potatoes; stir to coat. Cook 10 min., stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Beat with mixer until smooth.

SPOON into serving dish; sprinkle with nuts.

An easy way to jazz up a can of sweet potatoes. I have made this several times with and without the pecans.

I changed this a little. I used fresh sweet potatoes and boiled them. I did use the butter and syrup but as I was whipping them I added some brown sugar and cinnamon. They were so smooth and yummy. My kids (6 and 2) absolutely loved them.

I wanted a fairly easy recipe for Thanksgiving and this was great. I used a pecan flavor syrup and microwave the raw sweet potatoes a few minutes.It was delicious.

I made this for Thanksgiving. I had a lot of good comments on it. It was good, but wasn't the best. I wouldn't say it was bland, but at the same time, it seemed to be missing something. If I make it again, i will "doctor" it up, with cinnamon, maybe sugar.

I made this for a luncheon at work and EVERYONE loved it!! I toasted my pecan pieces (the fine "cookie" pieces) in a skillet with a dash of cinnamon and sugar before sprinkling them on the top.

I thought it a little bland so I added cinnamon to taste and a little more butter.
