I liked this dessert. I am not a pumpkin pie fan so this was a nice alternative with a taste of pumpkin pie but definitely not "just like one" as stated in one of the reviews I read. I as well could not find the right pudding but used vanilla instead with a bit of pumpkin pie spice. I did not find this to cook slow as some others said but did keep it in the oven about 48 minutes just in case- although I am not sure if that was really necessary. I also took the advice of another reviewer by doubling the amount of whipped topping which was a good thing because otherwise it would definitely be a very thin layer. The entire dessert seemed firm enough to me to serve as a bar if desired although we ate ours with a fork.
Good, but I made mine with smoked sausage. It was very hard to keep lit.
