  • Heat oven to 375°F.
  • Beat butter and 1/4 cup sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add dry pudding mix and tea powder; beat until blended. Gradually add flour, mixing well after each addition.
  • Drop tablespoons of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.
  • Bake 10 to 12 min. or until tops of cookies are firm to the touch. Cool 1 min. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
  • Sprinkle with remaining sugar.

Special Equipment Needed


Omit the 1/4 cup sugar used to sprinkle over the cooled cookies. Bake cookies as directed. Cool slightly. Roll, in batches, in 1/2 cup red colored sugar; cool completely.
