I work very early mornings until mid afternoon, sometimes I am so hungry I could stop at a fast food place and fill up on fries and a double cheese burger, instead i go home and prepare one of these burgers and it sure does hit the spot, without the extra fat and calories.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is a good recipe. This is a good recipe. Be sure to slice veggies VERY THIN. For a really superb meaty-tasting recipe; sautee one large portabella mushroom in butter or margarine. Add about a cup of water to pan and place burgers on top. Cook over med heat, uncovered, until water is gone. YUM!!

This is a fast, easy, and tasty sandwich. For diabetics, take off the top piece of bread and eat as an open face sandwich!

My husband wouldn't let me purchase a meatless burger, so I substituted with the turkey burger patties in my freezer and it tasted great! Unfortunately, my kids wouldn't touch it. Oh, well. More for me and my husband.
