Rated 5 out of 5 by from Entire Family LOVES This! I've made this dish three times, and there were hardly any leftovers each time! My family loves this dish! However, I did notice that, the second time I made it, the rice did not seem completely cooked. On my third time, I found that cooking the rice on the stovetop for half the recommended time--THEN adding it to this dish--really did the trick! I also "pre-cooked" the frozen vegetables a little in the microwave before adding them as well. I cooked the casserole for about 40 minutes, and everything turned out nice and tender....As I said, we really enjoy this easy dish, but it's just an observation and a suggestion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast, easy, and economical My family really enjoyed this recipe. It was very fast and economical to make. I did add a chopped onion (as did many other) to the hamburger as it browned. I left out the mixed vegetables (didn't have any on hand) and instead used a can of black beans and a can of whole kernel corn, both drained and rinsed. I would make this again and this recipe will probably go into my rotation of weeknight meals.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast and delicious! My hubby couldn't stop eating this. It was so fast. I did add chopped onion when I cooked the hamburger. Instead of the frozen veggies, I hate frozen carrots, I chopped up a large green pepper and added it just a minute before I was done browning the meat. I also added a can of corn with the liquid. Next time, I'll not use the liquid. I added some extra cheese too. It is just a bit salty, so the low salt stuff is probably important.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Family Hit! I made this with a few slight changes, adding a few chopped onions and minced garlic to the ground meat while browning. I made a half recipe because I never know with my family, but it was all gone except for one serving. My teenage boys ate it as is, my husband and I topped it with sour cream, and I added chipotle Tabasco sauce and it was darn near perfect. The next time I will add a few black beans to see how that is. I cooked it for the 50 minutes plus 10 with the cheese on top and it was done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy and delicious!! I made this tonight for my husband and it was definitely a great idea and will be making this recipe again! I did however add an onion while grounding the beef and also added some onion after it was finished, added a great extra twist!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy and Tasty My husband has taken over the cooking while he's between jobs, so I've been looking for recipes that he can easily follow and that will taste great. I printed this for him to try, and he said this was very easy to make. He made it exactly as stated. The whole family enjoyed it (including the 2-year-old). I just finished eating some of the leftovers for lunch.
