The first time I made this my husband and I agreed it was missing something now after I've drained the hamburger I sprinkle it with taco seasoning to give it more flavor. And last night when I made it I couldn't find any Mexican velveeta so I used some cheese queso and still used the water and it was awesome. I also usually double the recipe so we have leftovers.

I did a few things different tho..i used refried beans like the recipe suggested but i also seasoned my hamburger with taco seasoning when it was cooking and added a chopped onion in with the meat also. I also used regular velveeta instead of the mexican kind which was suggested. All in all it was delicious and will definately be making again!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from i made this the other night looking for something quick and easy. i made this the other night looking for something quick and easy. both my kids and myself loved it and im sure they'll be asking for it again. I too added a few things to the recipie... green peppers and onions to the ground beef mixture while browning as well as taco seasoning and a half can of kernel corn for some crunch( and more veggies) will certainly make again very soon!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from D-lish! D-lish! I put in a few Tbls of taco seasoning when I cooked the meat. I also dollopped a little sour cream through out on each layer and when cooked I topped with lettuce tomatoes and sliced avacado. My husband said that next time he'd rather just spoon the meat mixture into tortillas and eat like a taco. Either way this is a delicious dish and easy to make!

I made this with 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey, prepared the meat with taco seasoning and did include the refried beans. I served it with shredded lettuce, sour cream, chopped tomatoes and sliced avocado for optional toppings. It was very good and very, very filling. My husband really liked it as did my 5 year old son. Will definitely make again.

Added mexicorn and rotel to taco meat. Layered with Kraft Mexican blend cheese and tortilla chips. When it was done topped with more cheese and sour cream. It was great. Also the new Kraft cheeses with Philadelphia . . . amazing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never before have I attempted lasagna with much luck. Never before have I attempted lasagna with much luck. This was tremendously simple and the result, delicious. I used traditional Italian ingredients but used the tortillas instead of lasagna noodles. I added a layer of beaten egg, cream cheese and sour crem. The end casserole received high praise!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This a really good and simple dish. This a really good and simple dish. You can spice it up as much as you want. My kids, who are NOT into spicy stuff, eat this up every time. It's also great to make on "babysitter nights" ahead of time and stick it in the fridge for later. Keeps well, and reheats just fine. We really like this.
