  • Heat bacon fat in large skillet on medium-high heat.
  • Add onions and garlic; cook 3 min., stirring frequently. Reduce heat to medium.
  • Add kale, a handful at a time. Cook and stir 5 min. or until leaves just begin to wilt. (Kale will be just tender.)

How to Cut the Kale

Fold kale leaves in half lengthwise. Cut away stems and inner ribs; discard. Stack flattened leaves; roll up tightly. Cut into strips as directed.

Special Extra

Crumble the cooked bacon used for getting the bacon fat. Sprinkle over the cooked kale just before serving.
