  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Prepare muffin batter as directed on package; spoon into 24 mini muffin pan cups sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Press 1 each VELVEETA cube and hot dog slice into batter in center of each muffin cup.
  • Bake 10 to 12 min. or until golden brown. Cool 5 min. before removing from pans. Serve warm with mustard.

    I used a teaspoon of batter in well-sprayed cups and only got 17 muffins. Yes, even with heavy spraying they stuck to the pan, so I ran a table knife around each one to loosen it. I felt they needed something, since the Velveeta melted into the cornbread as it baked.

    Read reviews before ****** & generously sprayed cups with Pam, another reason they stick, is if the cup is filled with too much batter, it overflows & sticks to the top of the pan & makes it difficult to remove, they also tear. Second try I only filled cups halfway, much better results, also used cheddar and diced american cheeses, separately not together. Extra muffins also freeze & store well, reheat in microwave. Very good!
