I had my two-year-old niece for the day and I decided to make these to help entertain her. She had great fun mixing the batter and breaking the eggs. We couldn't find mini-Oreos at our Safeway so we used regular sized Oreos and broke them into pieces. Best of all my husband LOVED these enough to eat two in one sitting! They weren't as pretty as the photo but they were still good enough for him to take them to work the next day.

After reading some of the other reviews, I used regular sized oreos instead of the minis. The cupcakes tasted fantastic. I used store bought whipped cream cheese icing instead of cool whip and then crused some oreos in a sandwhich bag with a rolling bin and sprinkled it on top. Made it really pretty. Also, I put too much of the batter in the bottom so next time I would just add enough batter to the bottom to cover the pan.

I made these for the 1st time last Christmas as a treat for my 2yr old helping Mommy "prepare" the meal ...he is the "Oreo Cookie Monster" of our household and he loved them so much I am making the cupcakes instead of a birthday cake for him this year and will arrange them stacked in a tier! We are not huge chocolate lovers and thought this would be too much but I will admit everyone loved them! Thanks.

They were the first of the desserts to dissappear. This year when our friends had their cookout, and requested for me to bring these cupcakes. I made them again, and within 10 mintues of us arriving to the party, they were gone. My own kids didn't even get one. Nex time, I am going to triple the recipe!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT! GREAT! I made this for my father in law for his b-day-he loved them and I had leftovers for work too the boss exclaimed-Excellent! I used a brownie mix instead of cake-just bake a little longer also sprinkled powdered sugar on top then with cream cheese icing. I used the regular sized oreos in my muffin mold-they worked great and everyone wondered what it was inside that was tasting so GOOD!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I didn't really like it. I didn't really like it. My husband and I love chocolate, sweets and cupcakes but we ended up not even eating all of them and throwing them out. Someone else said that they were "pretty much tasteless". I completely agree, nothing really to them. Maybe cream cheese frosting would help. Wouldn't make them again and was glad I didn't make them for company or take them anywhere.

However, I did not have enough cake batter to top off the cupcakes after the cheesecake step. I suppose I might have filled the cups more than half, but I followed the directions exactly. I ended up making a second box of cake mix to compensate. Overall, these were tasty, but not extraordinary.
