Rated 3 out of 5 by from I have a suggestion to modify this recipe that may eliminate the soggy cracker. I have a suggestion to modify this recipe that may eliminate the soggy cracker. While catering, we use regular blocks of cream cheese (softened) and arrange them on a serving platter. We then pour the cocktail sauce over the cream cheese (in moderation) and then spread small shrimp over the cocktail sauce. We then serve this on the buffet with the Ritz or other snack crackers. You get the crispness of the cracker and the good flaver of the cream cheese, cocktail sauce and shrimp. I have never garnished with the green onion, but it's a great idea. Snipped chives might be good also. Thanks for all the great recipes!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made this recipe about two hours before using. I made this recipe about two hours before using. I didn't realize the cracker would be completely soggy by then. How embarrassing when I realized that I had tried to serve this soggy mess to my guests! When the evening was over I immediately tossed the recipe in the trash, along with nearly all the leftover crackers, even though the taste was good when JUST MADE.

Yes, the flavor was fine, but it's tough to get passed the cracker's mush to enjoy the shrimp. There are better recipes on this site that make great appetizers!
