Rated 4 out of 5 by from I made a bunch of these for friends for Christmas. I made a bunch of these for friends for Christmas. They look beautiful. I did mine with ribbone and a snowman printout on the top. I would suggest buying a wider opening jar. the first batch i had wide mouth jars and the other were just regular. that was a bit frustrating as you can't pour a measureing cup into a regular jar opening. Everyone has so pleased to get this gift.

It looked like a good idea, but I tried a batch myself before I gave out the gifts and was not very impressed. If you like flat, crispy cookies then they were good...and I followed the recipe exactly. Would brown sugar, margarine, and baking powder make a difference?
