Pair this delicious side salad with your favorite cooked lean meat, fish or poultry.
Toss salad greens with apples and pomegranate seeds in bowl. Refrigerate until ready to serve. If salad is refrigerated longer than 1 hour, dip apples in carbonated lemon-lime beverage before adding to salad to help prevent them from turning brown.
Substitute dried cherries or cranberries for the pomegranate seeds.
Substitute 1/2 cup chopped PLANTERS Sliced Almonds for the panko mixture.
You can also combine crumb mixture on a rimmed baking sheet instead of in bowl. Coat cheese pieces, a few at a time, and cook in batches. This keeps the cheese pieces firm so they don't melt while browning. Keeping the cheese cubes cold helps them retain their shape while browning.
