Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the best salad I've ever made and was a huge success! This is the best salad I've ever made and was a huge success! I substituted Balsamic Viniagrette in place of Italian dressing and found the cheese crumbles hard to find so I bought a small block of Colby & Monterary Jack cheese for less and made crumbles using my food processor. I will definitely make this salad time and time again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, easy, affordable salad! Great, easy, affordable salad! It's a great change from the standard house or caesar salad. Even my husband enjoyed it and I didn't think he'd like the pears and cranberries! I used the Kraft Tuscan House salad dressing. I'll definitely make this again and I've already told my mom and co-workers to try it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was so good! It was so good! I tweaked it a bit and didn't use pecans as my brother is allergic, and went with robusto italian dressing. My family, including my brother ate it up! My neighbors children, who don't eat salad...had seconds!!! We all enjoyed this. I have to make it again!!

This salad is very hard to serve because when they say "Serve Immediately" they mean if you delay at all, the lettuce will wilt! The 2nd time I made it, I left the dressing out and was able to at least transport it to a party without wilting. Not worth the effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome salad! Awesome salad! Brilliant combinations: crunchy, chewy, sweet, savory - they're all there! I used the suggested alernative cheese: gorgonzola - wonderful! Good as a side or main dish salad. I'll definitely be making this again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I've made this twice so far. I've made this twice so far. The first time I did it exactly by the recipe, BIG mistake. I'D forgotten how bad the lite italian dressings are. The second time I dressed it with a basic balsamic vinegrette and it was fabulous.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this when we had guests for dinner and they raved. I made this when we had guests for dinner and they raved. I made my own dressing with raspberry vinegar and good olive oil, but the combination of the greens, nuts, fruit and cheese gives this salad a very special flavor.
