Rated 5 out of 5 by from THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE. THIS IS A GREAT RECIPE. I USED MAYO INSTEAD OF MIRACLE WHIP, ONLY BC THAT'S WHAT MY FAMILY BUYS INSTEAD. I ALSO USED CANNED VEGGIES AND LEFT OUT THE WATER CHESTNUTS. I MADE IT FOR MY FATHER-IN-LAW'S B-DAY LUNCH AND THERE WAS NONE LEFT! I MADE IT WITH THE STOVETOP CHICKEN CASSEROLE AND IT WAS GREAT! STRONGLY RECOMMEND. I EVEN FIXED IT THE NIGHT BEFORE AND THEN PUT IT IN THE OVEN THE DAY OF.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from This was pretty good overall. This was pretty good overall. This was the first caserole I ever made, so I was suprised by the consistancy of the ingredients at first. The waterchestnuts and onions are the star of the dish in my opinion, it really gave the caserole a unique taste and great crunch. My boyfriend really liked it and definitely wants it again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My family loves this recipe! My family loves this recipe! If you use fresh or frozen vegetables, pre cook them first before mixing in all the ingredients. I also wait until the last 10 minutes to add the cracker crumb topping because it usually gets too brown before the time is up. If i don't have water chestnuts, I'll substitute for celery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made this recipe for years, except with a few changes. I have made this recipe for years, except with a few changes. I use two bags of California style vegetables, 2 cans water chestnuts, 2 cans cream of chicken soup, 1 cup of mayo, season to taste, top with sharp cheddar cheese and then cover with 1 sleeve of crushed Ritz crackers and drizzle with melted butter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is excellent. This is excellent. Goes with everything. I've made it several times and my family asks, "When are we going to have this again?" One time I used sharp cheddar instead of mild, and mayonnaise instead of salad dressing. Equally good. A real winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great side dish vegetable recipe. This is a great side dish vegetable recipe. If your kids do not like vegetables, let them try this one. The ritz topping gives it a little 'crunch' and makes it all the more better. My family just loves it, and we have it at least 3 times a month.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This recipe is similar to a family favorite, but sounds much simpler to make. This recipe is similar to a family favorite, but sounds much simpler to make. I'll find out if it matches up in flavor with the family favorite. I like the addition of the water chestnuts. I'm always looking for a way to cut down on kitchen time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was quite delicious. This was quite delicious. I used the ********** California mix; didn't have any water chestnuts; used mayo instead of Miracle Whip; added salt and pepper. My Honey liked it enough to compliment it; I will definitely make again and again.
