Make It

Tap or click steps to mark as complete

  • Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • Cover 2 rimmed baking sheets with foil; spray with cooking spray. Mix meat, stuffing mix, water and eggs just until blended. Shape into 50 (1-1/2-inch) meatballs; place on prepared pans.
  • Bake 16 min. or until done (160ºF). Meanwhile, bring barbecue sauce and cranberry sauce to boil in large saucepan on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Add meatballs to sauce; stir to evenly coat.

Serving Suggestion

Meatballs in sauce can also be served in a slow cooker set on LOW.

Note

If you don't have 2 rimmed baking sheets, you can use any shallow baking pans instead. Just make sure the meatballs are spread into a single layer in each pan.

How to Freeze Meatballs

Loosely pack cooled meatballs in freezer-weight resealable plastic bags. Lay bags flat in freezer so meatballs will freeze individually. Store in freezer up to 3 months. Thaw in refrigerator several hours or overnight before using as desired.

Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I made this for Christmas Eve at my in-laws. I made this for Christmas Eve at my in-laws. I usuallly buy meatballs and sauce but this sounded too good. It was a huge hit. Of the 79 meatballs it made, I came home with 8. I used 1/2 pound of pork sausage mixed with 1 & 1/2 pound of ground beef. It was so easy. Also, I made them ahead of time and threw in the freezer and on Christmas Eve, pulled them out, thawed and mixed up the sauce and put them in a crock pot. Will be making again!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I have made these several times for different occasions and always had rave reviews! I have made these several times for different occasions and always had rave reviews! I have subsitiuted ground turkey for the ground beef and used spaghetti sauce (especially if you don't like the strong flavor of BBQ sauce) mixed with the cranberry sauce! You can change the flavor a lot by using different Stove Top Stuffing Mix. Great for appetizers for the holidays or Pot Luck Dinners any time.

They were so good that I have been asked to make again for our Secret Santa! I only changed the serving of the meatballs. I threw them all in a big bowl and then dumped the sauce on top and mixed them together. They were great I can’t wait to make them again

I have made this twice now, but the second time I changed a couple things..I used half the recipe because Im making for 2 and I substituted the chicken stovetop for the savory herb one, I also added oregano, parsley, salt and pepper. The second time was perfect. My husband loves them! This recipe is great for entertaining.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My family doesn't care much for barbeque sauce. My family doesn't care much for barbeque sauce. I changed this up a bit. I mixed 1 cup ketchup and 1 cup sugar. Cooked this until the sugar was disolved, then I added the cranberry sauce. The meatballs get glazy from the sugar and cranberry sauce. Otherwise, I followed the rest of the recipe as printed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made these for my jewelry party the other night...they were a hugh success. Made these for my jewelry party the other night...they were a hugh success. I added a half a cup of milk as the mix seemed a little dry & it did not ruin the recipe so I would recommend it. Wasn't sure who may like the cranberry so I added honey to the bbq sauce instead. They were great!
