Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Added Raspberry Jam: Highly Recommended I made this recipe tonight and LOVED it! My family is a bit picky with food and this went over very well. I made a few adjustments. I was nervous about the lack of seasoning, I added an 1/8 of a tsp of nutmeg (I doubled the recipe so add 1/16 if not doubling). I also used mozzarella cheese (cheaper than Swiss in my grocery store), dusted it with powdered sugar and added a raspberry jam sauce to drizzle over top. Out of all the adjustments I made, the raspberry jam made it SO much better!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good & easy Made this for a church function. Used 3/4 of stale loaf of French bread that I was going to throw out - made it up around 9am baked it at 11:30 - was worried about the stale bread but it soaked up the egg and milk. The lack of spices had me concerned but it was flavorful and filling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great quick meal I tried this recipe and it is delicious and very quick to make. I did add 1 teaspoon of Dijon mustard to the egg mixture and just a pinch of cayenne pepper for a little added flavor. I also used a extra egg as the mixture was a little dry once I had combined everything. Served with a green salad and everyone loved it. This is a keeper.
