  • Heat oven to 350ºF.
  • Prepare cake batter and bake as directed on package for 2 (9-inch) round layers. Cool 10 min. Remove from pans to wire racks; cool completely.
  • Meanwhile, beat chocolate pudding mix and 1-1/2 cups milk in medium bowl with whisk 2 min. Refrigerate until ready to use.
  • Cut each cake layer horizontally in half. Place 1 bottom cake layer on plate; spread with half the chocolate pudding. Cover with second cake layer; spread with preserves. Top with third cake layer; spread with remaining chocolate pudding. Cover with last cake layer.
  • Beat vanilla pudding mix, sugar and remaining milk in large bowl with whisk 2 min. Stir in COOL WHIP. Spread onto top and side of cake. Refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Top with raspberries just before serving.


Prepare using raspberry jam or seedless raspberry jam.

Use decorating gel to write a message to Mom on top of the frosted cake.
